Chase Matthew Co-Hosts 8/8-9

| August 3, 2026

The co-host this wknd is Chase Matthew, who is in our Top 15 with Lauren Alaina. He also has his own solo single, “Holdin’ It Down.” He’s on the road now with Jason Aldean. Plus he’s playing stadiums with Jason & Luke Bryan.

Chase is one of the few artists with two songs in the country chart now: “It’s pretty crazy to see my name on that chart with so many people who are the biggest in the industry. So to see it twice, and be shared with Lauren Alaina, she’s such a great person, such a great friend, and the story how that song came to be is pretty cool.”

Lon wanted to hear the story about All My Exes: “It’s insane. In 2024, I was on tour with Jason Aldean.  On that tour was Lauren Alaina. We became good friends.  I also bonded with her husband.  He came to me one day and told me she had a song he thought should be a duet.  He played it for me, and I liked it.  The next day I got a call from Lauren inviting me to her bus.  She played me ‘All My Exes.’ She asked me what I thought.  I told her I liked it.  She invited me to sing on it.  The day we sang it in the studio, I told her Cam played it for me first.  He wing-manned it.  She was so surprised.  When we sang it, we knew it was meant to be. It’s cool to see where it’s at now.”

Chase started 2026 at Luke Bryan’s Crash My Playa: “That was a party. That was my first time in Mexico.  Luke took good care of us.  Put us up in this nice place.  I had this idea to prank Luke.  We bought these huge sombreros, they looked like UFOs. We gave them out to everybody. Then me, Tucker, George Birge, went on stage with Luke all wearing sombreros.  He got us to sing with him, and even though I didn’t know the words, we had a good time that night.”

Chase is part of the Double Down Stadium Tour with Jason Aldean & Luke Bryan: “It’s so great, I’ve never played a stadium, so this is gonna be wild.  We just played the first one in Missoula.  There’s a lot of running, you never touch the same spot twice.”

As he wrapped up the show, Lon asked what else is new in Chase’s life: “I just recently purchased my forever property.  I named it Chasen’ Acres.  We’re having a lotta good times out there. I feel I’ve worked hard to earn that place.  So I’m in the process of learning how to grow hay and cut hay. We have a couple ponds.  It’s not lake, but it’s a good time.”

Chase also has great stories this week about Jelly Roll, George Birge, Zach John King, Keith Urban, and Tucker Wetmore.
