Kane Brown Co-Hosts 8/15-16

The co-host this wknd is Kane Brown, who is in our Top 10 with “Woman.” It’s the first single from a forthcoming new album. He also tells us about his new Nashville bar & restaurant. Plus he recently attended a big celebrity wedding.

Lon began the show asking how Kane was. In June, Kane was hit in the ear by a golf ball:  “I’m all good.  It was gnarly. There was a lot of blood. That was the scariest part of it. The guy who hit me was pretty close, and it went straight into my head.  It split my ear open.  I got 27 stitches.”

In May, Kane opened his Nashville bar: Kane Brown’s On Broadway: “We had a taste test on the food.  We went through the interior of the place.  We had it for two years, and looked at everyone else’s bars.  We wanted to see what’s working and what’s not working.  It turned out great.”

After talking about his own bar, Lon mentioned Chris Young’s new bar named for their song Famous Friends.  Kane was apologetic: “I know, I missed it.  I was supposed to go to the opening. I was a bad friend and didn’t make it.  I told him I’d go the next day, but it was too late.”

Lauren Alaina just released a new song called Never Been in Love featuring Kane: “It was real simple. She sent me a song. She said. ‘I did a song for your album, you gotta do one for mine.’ I loved the song.  She’s like my little sister. She made it very easy.  It took 30 minutes out of my day.”

When we got to Taylor Swift‘s song, Kane said: “I just went to her & Travis’ wedding. It was awesome. I loved the country music community hanging out together. We were hanging with Patrick Mahomes and his wife.  There were so many crazy people there. Then Miranda walked over and invited us to join them.  She was with Kelsea and Little Big Town. It was nice to hang out with everybody.”

Kane also has great stories this week about Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, Scotty McCreery, Tyler Hubbard, and Morgan Wallen.
