Kane Brown Returns 8/22-23

This week Kane Brown returns for a second week. He’s in the Top 10 with “Woman.” He updates us on his 3 young kids, and tells us what fatherhood means to him. He tells us that he spent most of the summer in Florida. He says his next album will feature a duet with Shania Twain. Plus he has more on the recent wedding of Taylor Swift & Travis Kelse.

Lon began this week by noting that Kane was off for July and most of August: “We say I’m off, but there will be this or that. We just got a new house in Florida. So we got all moved in, living there like a family.  Nice little community, so I feel normal, not isolated.  I run into people into the neighborhood.  Get to have normal conversation.”

Lon asked for an update on Kane’s 3 kids, starting with 2 year old Krewe: “He’s just a boy. He loves cars, he loves dinosaurs, he loves to fight. You tell him to put his hands up, and immediately they go up.  Kodi is a wild child. Loves to run.  Has a lot of energy.  Kingsley is 6 going on 17. Very mature.  She’s the entertainer, loves to sing.  She’s also great at softball.  I think Krewe’s gonna be really good.  I’d like them to start golfing.  You don’t need a team, and you can play anywhere.  That’s kind of the goal right now.”

Kane had more stories from Taylor Swift’s wedding: “I got to meet Eric Church.  It was my first time meeting him.  He’s a really good guy. I went up to the bar, there was a spot next to him, I said, ‘Eric, I’m Kane. Nice to meet you’ We had a small conversation about the wedding. Chris Stapleton was there too. He asked me about my ear.  He didn’t have to do that.  Appreciate you, Chris.”

Lon asked how he got to know Taylor & Travis: “Honestly, I don’t know how I’m in this friendship, but they’re both sweethearts.  As big as they are, they are just the nicest people.  When I met Taylor for the first time, it was like she knew me for years.  She’s down to earth. She just asked to see our kids.  Kate was just blown away.”

Kane told Lon he’s working on his fifth album, and he already has a song on it with Shania Twain. “It’s kind of the male version of ‘Who’s Bed Have Your Boots Been Under.’ At the ACMs, we met up backstage.  I went to her dressing room, asked her if she had heard the song.  She said, ‘Yeah, heard it, love it.’ So we got it cleared right there.”
