Hudson Westbrook 1st #1

This week, Hudson Westbrook got his first #1 song with “House Again.” Country Countdown USA’s Lon Helton called him to congratulate him. Hudson was in Hawaii attending a songwriters retreat. He told Lon: “It’s been cool. I never expected it until it happened. House Again was a great song, but I almost didn’t put it out, it was super personal to me, because it’s about my patent’s divorce.  Now the whole world knows and they relate to it with their own stories. We got lucky. Now I’m the youngest male singer to get a #1, which is really cool.” Lon pointed out that the fact that it was so personal was why it connected: “Exactly. That’s something to learn from. People gravitate to real life. Now I just have to write a bunch of House Agains. It’s all about writing the truth and what you’ve been through.”
