Riley Green Co-Hosts 12/6-7

| December 1, 2025

The co-host this wknd is Riley Green, who is in our Top 5 with “Don’t Mind If I Do.” The song features Ella Langley. They just won 3 CMA Awards for their previous duet “You Look Like You Love Me.” Riley talks about how those songs have changed his life.

Lon asked Riley about performing both duets while on tour together this year: “I don’t think people realize how rare it is for both of us to have two big hits together, and we were on tour together. We got to travel the entire year doing those two songs. It was a lot of fun. You could tell the excitement of fans.”

Riley had this to say about singing with Ella: “You don’t see it a lot anymore.  I think that’s what drew fans to these songs.  You want to believe the lyrics are true.  Us writing & performing these songs, it came easy for us.  We’re both from Alabama. We had a lot of the same influences.”

Riley is heading to Las Vegas next week: “We’re doing shows during the rodeo finals.  I’m not a big Vegas guy. But when you go out there for the rodeo, there’s lots of country music, and there are big country music fans out there then.  It’s great when you play things that are aligned with country music.”

Then he starts 2026 at Luke Bryan’s Crash My Playa: “It’s like going back to work without going back to work. I went down there and played 2 years ago.  Nice weather, get out of the cold for a while, and hang out with everybody.  Luke invites us on stage, and I don’t think I’ve ever known what we’re doing.  It’s mayhem.”

Next year, Riley will be headlining a tour with Justin Moore: “I’ve been a huge fan of his. He can play nothing but hits for 60 minutes.  I went to see him when I was 23 in Biloxi.  Got to meet him back then. There’s a picture of me at his meet & greet.  Now he’s going on tour with me.”

Lon asked Riley if he’s seen the new Blake Shelton TV talent show: “I’ve seen a little bit of it.  Channing Wilson has written with me, and he’s one of the contestants.  I haven’t seen him in a while.  Last time I saw him, he said it went well.  He was excited about what it’s gonna do for his career.  He’s been on tour with me, and I’m excited to see what it does for him.”

Riley also has great stories this week about Blake Shelton, Dierks Bentley, Sam Hunt, Zach Top, and Morgan Wallen.
