Tyler Hubbard Co-Hosts 7/26-27

| July 21, 2025

The co-host this wknd is Tyler Hubbard, who is in our Top 5 with “Park.” He’s on the road all summer doing fairs & festivals. He just did a show in Alaska, his first in that state. He is working on new music, and says his next single will come from that new batch

In June, Tyler went somewhere he’s never been: Alaska! “This was my first time in Alaska, the only state I’ve never been to.  So I checked off my 50th state, which is kinda cool.  It’s beautiful there, someplace I’ve always wanted to go.  You can tell the fans are hungry for country music, they’re excited, so it makes it a good time.”

In March, Tyler played Country 2 Country in the UK along with Dierks Bentley.  Tyler says they talked about flying airplanes: “I told him I wanted to learn to fly, give me some advice, where to go, what to do, and he was super helpful.  I underestimated the amount of time I was available this year.  I haven’t gotten as far as I wanted in the process.”

One of the distractions this year was a new vacation spot: “We spent more time in Idaho than I expected.  It’s now my new favorite place to be. We took the kids out there for two or three months.  I got into snowmobiling and things I didn’t expect.”

Tyler toured last year with Parmalee, and they told Lon that Tyler got them to do the ice bath thing: “That’s something I’ve tried to incorporate into my daily routine.  It’s been something I enjoy for sure.  It’s probably the hardest thing I do in a day.  But there’s a rush that when you do it, you feel refreshed.”

It’s been a while since Tyler had new music.  That will change soon: “It’s time for new music. I’ve been in the studio, working with new producers, it’s become a team effort.  We’re experimenting, less produced, more organic and raw.  I’m always trying to evolve. I’m pretty deep into the process.  So maybe in the next few months.  The next single will be from the new project.”

Tyler also has great stories this week about Kane Brown, Parker McCollum, Corey Kent, Luke Bryan, and John Pardi.

NEXT WEEK: Chris Janson

EXTRACountry Countdown USA‘s Lon Helton was honored Tuesday night as a “Legend of Country Radio” during the Bob Kingsley Presents songwriters series at the Bluebird Cafe (where he was presented his own commemorative chair) as part of the Country Radio Hall of Fame’s 50th anniversary celebration.
