Parmalee Co-Hosts 1/3-4

| December 29, 2025

The first co-host of 2026 is Parmalee, who are in the Top 5 with Cowgirl. The guys look ahead to their plans for the new year. They also talk about a bunch of their friends in the Top 30, including Lainey Wilson, Jelly Roll, and Tucker Wetmore.

The guys performed in Miami on New Year’s Day. They were part of the pre-game concert for the Orange Bowl,  “Miami knows how to party, I’ll tell you what. Our first reaction was, it’s Florida in January, OK I’ll spend New Year’s Eve in Miami.  All the wives came, friends came.  Even some of the in-laws came.”

The guys told Lon they’re looking forward to some changes in 2026: “Being able to drop songs more frequently than we have in our career.  Drop songs every 5 or 6 weeks. People want to hear new songs. We want to be able to release songs as we get them.  Plus I have some collabs on my plate.  So that’s what we’re looking forward to the most.”

In keeping with that, the band just released a new song called How Do I Let You Go. “We’d been writing songs, and wanted to dig into some real life things. So we got to talking about people we lost too soon. My dad passed 2006, before we got a record deal.  This is a note to our dads saying we wish you were here.”

The new song isn’t on their current album, so Lon asked if that means a new project in 2026: “Yeah, we’re just gonna drop singles as soon as we can. We have enough to get that started. Then hopefully, once we get that started, we’ll have enough for whatever the project is. We want to have something on deck because people want new stuff all the time.”

Tucker Wetmore was our co-host last month, and he told us he once sold merch for Parmalee, but didn’t get paid.  So Lon played that for the band: “We gotta pay that boy.  I think he’s alright now.  We gave him $100 worth of advice.  He didn’t try to pitch us songs.  We did a show with him recently, but he didn’t bring up we owed him money. We’ll send him a plaque with a hundred dollar bill in it.”

Parmalee also has great stories this week about Jason Aldean, Jelly Roll, Lainey Wilson, Zach Top, John Morgan, and LoCash.

NEXT WEEK: Blake Shelton
