Miranda Tweets With Merle Haggard

Miranda Lambert recently took part in Keith Urban’s All For the Hall benefit concert in Nashville.  Also there was the legendary Merle Haggard.  Miranda told Country Countdown USA’s Lon Helton that she got to spend some backstage time with the country legend.  “I was actually on Merle’s bus, got to say hi, and he was so funny, he goes, ‘Hey, I’m on Twitter!’  I was like, ‘OK, cool,’ but it’s so funny to hear this come our of Merle Haggard’s mouth, saying ‘Hey, you better tweet me!’ I was like, ‘OK, I will,’ and actually it is him, people have asked me, and it’s funny, sometimes he’ll tweet two or three times, because he’s not sure it went through.”

Miranda performed at the All For the Hall benefit with her trio, Pistol Annies, and she had fun performing with host Keith Urban: “Nothing like having Keith Urban and Vince Gill in your back-up band.  I learned so much from Keith Urban, he was my first tour I ever did.  I remember the first night, we watched the whole show, and it was like, Oh my gosh, band meeting right now!  He’s just a great entertainer.”
