Happy 60th George Strait!

Happy Birthday to George Strait, who turns 60 today!  The Hall of Famer just picked up his 59th #1 song with “Love’s Gonna Make It Alright.”  That milestone was on his mind when he spoke to Country Countdown USA’s Lon Helton about turning 60: “My gosh, I’m a couple of #1 records behind my age, I gotta catch up.  I wish I could shoot my age in golf, that’d be wonderful.  I don’t know what we’re gonna be doing when I turn 60.  I’ll probably gonna be hiding out.”

George became a grandfather in February.  Little George Harvey Strait III, who they’re calling Harvey, will probably get most of his grandpa’s attention from now on: “I’m looking forward to the rest of the year, spending time with him, watching him grow during his first year here, and it’s hard to think of my son changing diapers, but that’s reality now, so it’s pretty funny.:
