Blake Shelton’s Top 10

| October 28, 2011

This week’s co-host, Blake Shelton, just celebrated his 9th #1 hit with “Honey Bee.”  In fact, Blake has been on a hot streak, with four straight #1s.  Blake is celebrating his tenth anniversary as a recording artist this year.  His debut single, “Austin,” was released in April 2001.  Since then, he’s released 18 singles and 6 albums, including his latest, “Red River Blue.” But what are Blake’s Top 10 most popular hits? We excluded “Honey Bee” and “Who Are You When I’m Not Looking” from the list:

#10: The Baby- This was Blake’s second #1, and first single from his second album.

#9:  Nobody But Me- A Top 5 hit from his third album, “Blake Shelton’s Barn & Grill.”

#8: I’ll Just Hold On- This was a Top 10 from his 4th album, “Startin’ Fires.”

#7: Austin- This was Blake’s debut #1.  It actually spent a whole month at the top during the summer of 2001.

#6: Home- A #1 from 2008.  Written and originally recorded by pop singer Michael Buble, and Blake didn’t like it.  But his girlfriend Miranda Lambert suggested he try it, and she did background vocals.

#5: She Wouldn’t Be Gone- This was the follow-up to “Home,” and became Blake’s first back-to-back #1.

#4: Ol’ Red- This song peaked at #14 when it was released in 2002.  But it’s become one of his most enduring hits, and a highlight at his concerts.

#3: Some Beach- Blake’s third #1, and viewed after a comeback song after three singles missed the Top 20.  Blake told the media, “You’re not done with me yet.”

#2: Hillbilly Bone- Blake’s award-winning duet with Trace Adkins.

#1: All About Tonight- The chart-topping follow-up to Hillbilly Bone, and title of Blake’s second 6-Pack.
