Country Countdown USA’s Lon Helton asked Toby about his new CD: “It’s mostly more of a mature, middle aged look at life.  You can’t write these songs at 20.  You couldn’t be profound enough to write songs like this.  I couldn’t have written that kind of real life when you were 25.  You hadn’t lived long enough, you have to live some years, and I see that throughout the process.  Clancy’s Tavern is like the reading of the minutes at my grandmother’s bar.  My grandmother’s nickname was Clancy, and there you go.”
