Jason Aldean Returns 7/6-7

| July 1, 2024

This week, Jason Aldean returns for a second week as Lon’s co-host. In this week’s show, he talks more about his 2024 Highway Desperado Tour, his recent European vacation, and his current Top 5 hit Let Your Boys Be Country. He also talks about his Rock The Country Tour with Kid Rock.

Jason spent the first few weeks of June on a European vacation. ”It was fun, went to Switzerland, Italy, and it was the first time I went there and had the time to see stuff.  Italy, especially, I love the culture, the food is amazing, every place we went to was amazing.”

While in Switzerland, Jason’s wife Brittany broke her hand: ”We were getting off this train, and she fell, pulled her pinkie in a 90 degree angle and broke some bones.  No surgery, she has a brace that she has to wear for a month. She’s a trooper”

In addition to his own tour, Jason is part of the Rock The Country festival with Kid Rock: ”We’ve been friends a long time, since before I had a record deal. There are not a lotta guys I hate to follow on stage, but he’s one of them.  It’s a really good show.

Jason also got a chance to hang out with Kid Rock: ”He stayed over during the Ocala show.  He likes to golf. He’s tried to get me to play with him & Trump when Trump’s in town.  But I haven’t had a chance to do that with them.”

Jason’s Highway Desperado tour will wrap up in Jason’s hometown of Macon: “Typically we play Atlanta, but this year Atlanta’s not on the schedule. They have a new amphitheater and we’ll try it out. I have a lot of family there, so we usually see them while we’re there.”

Jason had a lot to say about Post Malone’s first country hit: “You can tell when something’s real.  With him, we can see it’s an influence.  Country fans don’t accept everyone, but with him, they have.  You can’t fool them. They know what’s authentic.”

Jason also has great stories this week about Luke Bryan, Parker McCollum, Bryan Martin, Lauren Alaina, Lainey Wilson, and Garth Brooks.
