Jordan Davis Co-Hosts 6/24-25
This week’s co-host is Jordan Davis. He & his wife Kristen just welcomed their third child: A son named Eli. Jordan is on the road now with Dierks Bentley’s Gravel & Gold tour. His current hit is “Next Thing You Know.” He has stories from this year’s ACM Awards in Texas, and his first world tour.
Jordan had this to say about his son Eli: “Yeah, baby #3, and it couldn’t happen at a more busy time for us, but I guess they show up when they’re ready to show up. I don’t have much say over that.”
The baby’s full name is Elijah Patrick Davis, and Jordan says the baby’s middle name comes from his wife Kristen: “Our first two kids’ middle names came from the Davis side of the family. Kristen’s family is first generation Irish. Her father’s name is William Patrick O’Connor. So that’s where Eli’s middle name comes from.”
Jordan’s new son will join Eloise & Lochlin in the family: “My daughter will be 4, my son will be 2, it’s crazy to think I’m back in the infant stage of not sleeping and all that. We could have planned that better. Any time I ask for other parents for advice, it’s like hold on, sleep when you can.”
Jordan was on tour with Thomas Rhett earlier in the year: “We were doing ice baths on the tour. One night, it got too late for that. I was the last one in my dressing room, and TR came in, and we talked for about an hour. We talked about everything but music. We talked about faith. family, it was one of those conversations where you feel rejuvenated. Better than an ice bath!”
Jordan performed on the ACM Awards. Lon asked if he met either of the hosts: “I got to see Garth for a second. Dolly walked past me, and I got starstruck, so I just watched her walk past. What an icon. I didn’t get to talk to her. I wish I told her how grateful I was for all she did. But she’s the one who introduced me for my performance. So at least I could say she said my name.”
One of the highlights at the ACM show was Lainey Wilson’s performance. Lon asked Jordan about it: “I turned to my wife while it was happening, and said, ‘We’re watching someone turn into a superstar right in front of our eyes,’ and that’s what happened. It was cool. Couldn’t happen to a better person. It makes me proud to know she’s from my home state.”
Jordan also has great stories this week about Dierks Bentley, Scotty McCreery, Parker McCollum, Jelly Roll, Dylan Scott, and Bailey Zimmerman.
