Dylan Scott Co-Hosts 4/1-2
This week’s co-host is Dylan Scott, who began the year at Luke Bryan’s Crash My Playa festival in Mexico. He told Lon, “It was exactly what I expected. If you’ve seen pictures, that’s what it’s like. It’s a party.”
Dylan opened two nights for Luke, and also joined him on stage: “I got to tour with Luke two years ago. So we went out there and did what we did back then. just had a good time. Luke’s one of the best in the business.”
Luke’s special guest this year was Lionel Richie, and Dylan was there for that: “Let me tell you, that man has still got it. The energy he has on stage. I was very shocked at what went down. It’s pretty spectacular. He seems like a such a nice guy. He loved being there, he was lovin’ it.”
Dylan’s kids are now 5 & 3 years old. He told Lon he’s become a sideline dad at his son Beckett’s softball games: “I’m pretty chill, I’m pretty calm. I’ve heard from other parents that even at 5 years old, the parents get pretty aggressive. I don’t think I’m that guy yet, but we’ll see.”
Dylan has been featuring his kids in his videos, and he says his son is pretty musical: “He’s playing drums, I got him a drum set, so he’s playing the heck out of those things. We’ve got all the migraine medicine you can think of. As soon as his hands are big enough, I’ll put a guitar in there. Maybe the drums will be over.”
In the past, Dylan has talked about his trash collection business that he set up in Louisiana during the pandemic. So Lon asked him if he’s started any other businesses lately: “I’m on the verge of opening up a coffee shop called Drips Coffee Shop with my little brother. So it’s cool to do it with my brother. He’s also my lead guitar player. He’ll stay in my band, but his wife will run the shop while we’re gone. I don’t know if it’ll be Starbucks, but we’re planning multiple locations.”
Dylan also has great stories this week about Morgan Wallen, Tyler Hubbard, Lainey Wilson, Jimmie Allen, and Garth Brooks.
