Big & Rich Like Maddie & Tae

Big & Rich have been a duo for over ten years.  They had encouraging words for the new duo Maddie & Tae, who are in the Top 5 with “Girl In a Country Song.”  Big Kenny & John Rich talked about them with Country Countdown USA’s Lon Helton.

(Kenny) We got to jam with them, and their voices are magical.  What I realized that in conversation, when they talk, they say the same thing at the same time, and they say it in harmony.  It was a thrill to hear them.

(John) What I like about this song because it took such nerve to sing this song.  The comment needed to be made.  (Kenny) It’s my wife’s favorite song.  Women need to stand up and say I’m more than a bikini!  (John) I’m glad that a couple of pistols like those girls and said it in a rockin’ way.  The dudes even like it!  We’re all laughing, and going, ‘Yeah they busted us.’
