Justin Moore’s Father’s Day Wishes

Justin Moore is spending Father’s Day 2014 with his family at home in Arkansas. His wife is expecting a new baby next month, and Justin is spending more time at home this year.  He told Country Countdown USA’s Lon Helton about his daughters Ella (who’s 4) and 2 year old Kennedy: “Thankfully, my youngest just became potty-trained, which is exciting.  They’ve been coming out on the road with me quite a bit.  Even if my wife doesn’t go, I’ll try to take my girls, or at least one of them.  They’re just such a blessing, and they’re both excited about their younger brother or sister on the way in July.  We’re all as ready as we can be for that, and those two will probably be a lot more help than what we need, but they’re doing well.”

How are they different? “They’re very different.  It’s really interesting.  Ella is more high strung, needy, and crazy like me.  Kennedy is a lot more laid back, and more chill, but very sensitive.  If you look at her the wrong way, it breaks her heart.  Whereas Ella will just talk back at you.  So you have to take a different approach with each of them.  Who knows with this third one.”

So how is dad feeling with a third one on the way? “We’re excited about it, but we know apparently we’re out of our minds for doing it.  That’s what people tell us.  I’m 30, and she’s going to be 30 in July, and everybody looks at you like you have three heads when you say you’re having another one.  But I’m an only child, she grew up with a much older sister, so it was like being an only child, so we like the idea of having a big family, and we’re well on our way.

Does that mean there’ll be more than three? “You know what, we’ll see how brave we get, or how many cocktails we have.  But I love the idea of when we’re 50 or 60, having the whole crew and the grandkids, not that I want to fast forward, but I’m looking forward to that.”
