Lee Brice “So Ready” For Wedding

| April 13, 2013

Lee SaraThis week’s co-host Lee Brice told Country Countdown USA’s Lon Helton this is his last interview as a single man. “I wish I could have been married months ago.  I am so ready to be married to this woman.  I’m a lucky dude man.”

So was there a bachelor party? “No man, I’ve had enough partying in my life.  I’m always going to have fun.  But my bachelor party, if I could make one myself, would consist of me taking my best friends out fishing all day long, or hanging out playing guitars with Randy Houser and Jerrod Niemann, that would be my bachelor party if I could.  I’m at a party every Friday and Saturday night.  I want to relax and catch some fish.”

Is it a big wedding? “We’re keeping it to close friends and family.  Try to keep it small.  You know how that goes.”

Who will be singing at the wedding? “My fiance Sarah is planning the wedding, so I don’t know. She asked my brother to sing a song.  One of my favorite singers, Chris Weaver is going to play our reception.  The Chris Weaver Band is a guy in Nashville who is one of the best, one of the most soulful singers, so it’s gonna be a great time.  Then probably, me, Jerrod, and Randy will take over the stage at some point and just have a party.”

So what’s your schedule over the next few weeks? “I took off the month of April.  I wanted to have a week before at the place where we’re gonna get married, hang out, then have an actual honeymoon, and even come home and spend some days at home before I hit the road with Brad Paisley on May 9th.”

We told Brad that Lee was getting married before the tour.  Brad said, “That’s good.  Actually you need it.  You get married and everything is great, and it stays great the more tour dates you do that first year because you want her to miss you.  A lot of people get married and their problem is they don’t miss each other ever again.”  Lee’s response: “I like that, and that’s how his mind works.  He’s looking at the glass half full.”
