Blake’s Valentine’s Day Surprise

Blake Shelton has spent the past few months taping Season 4 of The Voice.  Meanwhile, his wife Miranda Lambert launched the Locked & Reloaded Tour with Dierks Bentley.  Country Countdown USA’s Lon Helton asked Blake if he’d had a chance to see his wife’s new tour: “I did.  When it came time for Valentine’s Day, I spent the weekend with her on the road.  She probably thought she got ripped off, she’d probably prefered some chocolates.  But I hadn’t seen her show yet this year, and ended up doing the whole run with her.  She invited me on stage, and got to do Sure Be Cool If You Did, and that was the first time I’d ever performed it.  It was fun.  A lot of times people come to my show and wonder if Miranda’s here, and it’s always great when she comes on stage.”

Did you get to spend some time with her tour-mate Dierks Bentley? I did, I hung out with Dierks a lot.  Miranda brings out this trainer, and I needed to do some sit-ups, so I went to the training room, and Dierks was in there too.  So we did our training together for about an hour.  He’s in way better shape than me, because I went five minutes alnd did everything I could to not throw up, but we spent a lot of time together, and I like Dierks a lot.”
