Eli Young Band Miss The Bus

The Eli Young Band is on the road now with Rascal Flatts.  The very first night of the tour, the two bands were in Hartford and wanted to celebrate.  The band’s Mike Eli told Country Countdown USA’s Lon Helton what happened next: “Have we got a story for you.  We get done with the show, everybody is celebrating, we’re backstage hanging out with Jay DeMarcus, go back to his bus, having some drinks, and time flies by.  We say ‘It’s time to go,’ get off Jay’s bus and we realize our bus has left us!  I guess they thought we were in the back asleep.  And we are usually punctual.  Our tour manager doesn’t even bother to check any more.  So needless to say, we walked back on Jay’s bus, and stayed the night on Jay’s bus.  Luckily we didn’t get kicked off the tour.  But it made for fun story from the tour.  We will make sure we are at bus call from now on.”
