Strait Looks Ahead to 60 in 60

This will be a milestone year for George Strait.  In May he will celebrate his 60th birthday.  Country Countdown USA’s Lon Helton spoke with George about that special day: “You would have to bring that up!  Yeah I’ll be 60, so I’m a couple of #1 records behind my age.  I’ve gotta catch up.  I don’t know what I’ll be doing when I turn 60.  I’ll probably be hiding out!  I’m looking forward to the rest of the year spending time with Harvey, watching him grow during his first year.  I’ll probably start trying to write some stuff for a new record.  I wanna get a new record done sometime this year.  I haven’t even written anything yet.  But that’s my plan for the rest of the year.  Do a little fishing, do a little writing, recording, and watching little Harvey grow!”
