The Band Perry Saved By McGraw
The Band Perry toured with Tim McGraw all last year on the Emotional Traffic Tour. The trio told Country Countdown USA’s Lon Helton, “Tim is a man’s man. I have never been terrified on stage except for one night with Tim McGraw. We were on stage with Tim singing ‘She Can’t Be Really Gone’ when a fight broke out in the audience right in front of us. I was looking for an exit because I’m terrified by physical violence, and Tim handled it. He called the guy out, and threw him out.” This was at a show at The Gorge in Washington State. Neil Perry then added, “The guy who started the fight was actually at our meet and greet before the show! So we were like, ‘Hey! We know you!’ We waved to him.”

Tim McGraw is often joined by his wife Faith Hill, and The Band Perry told Lon they spotted Faith and the family several times during the tour: “They’re such a great family. I remember one afternoon we left the venue and when we came back, we had a bowl of wild strawberries with a note from Faith and the girls that they had picked strawberries for us!”
