Luke Bryan’s Holiday Traditions

| December 23, 2011

For Luke Bryan, holiday time is family time.  He and his wife Caroline usually spend Christmas eve with their two young boys, Bo & Tate, at Luke’s parent’s home in Georgia.  The family meal is one of their favorite traditions.  Except the meal itself is a bit unusual: “We do a chili dog night on Christmas Eve.  That presents a whole new set of problems.  On Christmas Day, you’ll find Glade air freshener in the stockings.  Let’s just say the tree’s dead by Christmas.  Chili dogs on Christmas Eve!”

As wild as that sounds, it turns out there’s another tradition in the Luke Bryan home.  But Luke didn’t share this one with directly.  We found out about it from Luke’s buddy Eric Church: “He sent a picture to my iPhone on Christmas Eve, and he has a tradition where they each have to buy the ugliest pair of pajamas they can find.  And they have to wear it that night.  They present it on Christmas Eve, and they have to wear it on Christmas morning. So he sent me this picture at 11PM Christmas Eve, and I told him I’m gonna release it to the press one year.  It’s hilarious.”
