Taylor’s Scent For All Ages

| November 12, 2011

When Taylor Swift started work on her first fragrance, she considered that her fans cover a wide range of ages.  Taylor told Country Countdown USA’s Lon Helton: “I wanted it to be sweet, but not too sweet, not like spraying candy on yourself.  I didn’t want to make a perfume like cotton candy or like Skittles.  It’s going to be cute for younger girls, but I wanted something very broad.  It was definitely a consideration.”

The result is Wonderstruck, available now.  Taylor also talked about the process of creating the fragrance: “We worked on it for about a year.  They had me fill out questionaires about various frangrances.  I told them which ones I like best, and which ones I don’t like.  They brought me different mixtures, and it happens over and over again until we get it perfect.  If you’re going to put your name on it, and wear it every day, you take the time to get it right.  We wanted something that would make a great first impression if you meet somebody and they’re wearing it.   So it’s sweet and warm but also spicy with berry notes in it.  It turned out wonderful.”
