Trace Makes a Bet With Blake

Last year, Trace Adkins and Blake Shelton had a #1 hit and won a CMA award for their duet, “Hillbilly Bone.”  That success has led to a new duet on Trace’s brand new CD.  In addition, Blake has followed Trace into the Reality TV world, by becoming a coach on NBC’s “The Voice.”  Country Countdown USA’s Lon Helton asked Trace if he’d watched Blake on the show, and what he thought of Blake’s performance. “I have seen it, and I bet him $5000 he was going to lose.  It was during CMA Fest.  I was hanging out on his bus, and we started talking about it, and I told him, ‘Your team sucks!  You’re not going to win!’  And he goes, ‘Oh yeah?’  I said, ‘Yeah you’re not gonna win.  I bet you $5000 you’re not gonna win.’  He goes, ‘I bet you $5000 I won’t come in last!’  And I wouldn’t take that bet.  And I’m glad I didn’t because he didn’t come in last.  It actually was pretty close, he almost won!”
