New Friends: Taylor & Shania

Taylor Swift has often said that she admires Shania Twain.  When she accepted her ACM Entertainer of the Year award, she mentioned Shania as one of her heroes.  A few weeks ago, Taylor & Shania filmed the opening video for the CMT Music Awards.  Shania talked about it last week on Country Countdown USA.  This week, Taylor told host Lon Helton, “I loved spending time with her.  It was awesome.”  Lon asked Taylor about her first memories of Shania: “I remember one summer, all I played was ‘Come On Over.’  That entire album.  Then I’d turn on the TV and Shania was on every channel.  I imagined what that was like.  She’s definitely had an amazing trip around this world, her life has been interesting.  I’d just like getting to know her because she’s been a hero of mine for so long.  Every now and then I’d want to call Shania Twain, when I have a problem or a question, and it’s nice to know I have that ability.”  Taylor’s favorite Shania song?  The first one she mentioned was “Man I Feel Like a Woman.”
