Justin Moore’s Gift From Jake

Justin Moore’s latest album is called “Off The Beaten Path.”  He told Country Countdown USA’s Lon Helton that the song was a gift from another country star: “I’m buddies with Jake Owen, and he was cuttin’ songs, I was cutting’ songs, and I said, ‘Man if you got something you don’t wanna do that you like, let me know, and I’ll do the same.’  He tells me, ‘I heard this song called Off The Beaten Path and thought it was too country for me.’  I told him, ‘I heard that song too, and thought it was too rock for me.’  It just tells you that everybody listens to music differently.  I ended up cuttin’ it,  and wouldn’t be surprised if it ended up being a single for us down the road.”
