Luke Bryan: Marriage Advisor

Luke Bryan and his wife Caroline have been married for 6 years.  So when 22-year-old newcomer Thomas Rhett came along looking for a little advice, Luke was quick to oblige.  He just didn’t expect it to make the news. Luke told Country Countdown USA’s Lon Helton:  “Every now and then I get a Google Alert on my phone if I make headlines.  I looked down and it said ‘Luke Bryan gives Thomas Rhett marital advice.’ And I’m like, oh gosh, what’s fixin’ to go here?  But I remembered the conversation. Thomas Rhett called me one day, and he said, ‘Luke you’re married and you’re making it all work, and I’ve met the girl of my dreams, and I know I’m young, and a lot of people are telling me not to get married, but this is the one!’  And I told him, ‘You’ve gotta live your life and make it all work.  And if you wanna get married, get married.  If you feel like you can weather this business together and deal with everything that comes and goes, then get married.’  We had a long conversation, and I think it put his mind at ease about what he should do, so I was glad to give a young buck some marital advice.  Then I met his wife, and she said, ‘Thank you!’ I guess she owes me a steak dinner.” Thomas Rhett married Lauren Gregory in Nashville on October 12th.  The two first met in the first grade, dated when they were fifteen, and got engaged last December.
