Aldean: My Girls Control The Radio

Jason Aldean is the father of two young girls: Keeley, who’s 8, and 4 year old Kendyl.  As you might expect, music is a frequent topic around the house.  Jason told Country Countdown USA’s Lon Helton that his daughters control the radio dial: “They’ve been in control for a while.  The good thing is I try to bring them up on cool music too.  She’ll listen to Lady Gaga and then I’ll put in a Ray Charles CD, and she’ll be like, ‘Hey that’s the blind guy, isn’t it?’  So she knows Ray Charles and everything from that to Katy Perry.  I’m trying to get her well-rounded.  My little one is into it too.  I haven’t started grooming her on the old school stuff yet.  But the older one, when I pick her up from school, I’ll play something different every day, so she’s into Bon Jovi and Heart. some of the 80s stuff, and I told her one time, I said when your sister gets older, and you guys wanna be a duet, this is what you need to sound like.  I played ’em Heart, and said if you can sing like Ann Wilson, we’re money.  So I’m groomin’ em right now.”
