Jon Pardi Co-Hosts 3/19-20

| March 14, 2022

This week’s co-host is Jon Pardi, who introduces his brand new single, “Last Night Lonely.”  He also previews his big summer tour with Lainey Wilson.  And has some backstage stories from this year’s big UGM Show at the Ryman during CRS.

Jon had just returned from his sold-out show at the Houston Rodeo: “It was a great show, it was really loud, I feel like there was a lot of celebration in the air because the rodeo was back after two years. It was a night I’ll never forget. I got to ride a horse around the stadium.  Playing the rodeo was awesome but I had more fun riding the horse and waving to everybody.”

Jon says he was a last-minute addition to the Nashville New Year’s Eve concert, broadcast on CBS. “A few artists had to drop out because of Covid, so we got the call 30 hours before the show. I got to play with Chris Janson & Riley Green. It was awesome, and my favorite part was the TV ratings were good.  We were #2 to New York.  And a lot of compliments from fans, and I think it went over really well.”

Jon was part of the big UMG show at the Ryman Auditorium during Country Radio Seminar a few weeks ago.  He got to see Jordan DavisKeith UrbanDierks Bentley, and Parker McCollum: “Me & Parker are buddies and so is Dierks.  I was hanging with Parker, and Dierks came over carrying a guitar.  It was Parker’s end of tour gift.  I know it because Dierks gave me one too. it’s a real nice Martin guitar. We all got to take a picture, and it was a real cool memory.”

While Jon was doing the show, he received a text from Jake Owen: “He’s like, ‘Hey man, I’m with Peyton Manning. We’re playing golf, and he’s asking about you. Do you mind if I give him your number?’ I’m like, ‘Yeah man, that’s fine. Hit me up anytime, Peyton!’ They’re at Augusta National.  So Jake’s looking out for me with Peyton Manning.  Thanks Jake!”

Jon also has great stories this week about Luke Bryan, Jordan Davis, Michael Ray, Cody Johnson, Keith Urban, and Kane Brown.
