LBT & Taylor Swift Backstage Jam

Back in June, Taylor Swift invited Little Big Town to join her during her show in Pittsburgh.  That was just the start of the story.  The group’s Kimberly & Philip told the rest to Country Countdown USA’s Lon Helton:

Kimberly said: “Sweet Taylor Swift invited us to sing for her show in Pittsburgh on her huge tour.  We went ‘motorboating’ with Taylor Swift.  It was so amazing, you’ve got to see that show.  It’s so amazing.  Kelsea Ballerini was there too, because she and Taylor are friends.  So we got to hang out with her for a while.  She sang some of her songs for us in Taylor’s dressing room, and it was such a treat.”

Philip added: “We had a late night jam after the concert, we have a few hours before the buses leave, so guitars broke out and songs started happening, we played everything we could think of.  We just had fun, we’ve known Taylor for a long time, and it was great to hang like that.”

So was Taylor taking part too? “Oh yes!  Taylor was right in the middle singing every work.  She sang ‘Girl Crush!’  Then she sang Kelsea’s song ‘Love Me Like You Mean It.’  Rachel Platten was there too, so we were singing, ‘This is My Fight Song.’  All on a little Taylor guitar!  It was good fun.”

So I guess at that time, Kelsea’s song was in the Top 10, so was she talking about that? “She was, and she was talking about what her next single should be.  We know now it’s ‘Dibs,’ but Taylor wanted another one.  It’s a song called ‘Yeah Boy.’  She was singing every word to that song.  So Taylor wants it for her third single.”
