FGL Meet Britney, Jonas, Taylor

Florida Georgia Line’s Brian Kelley & Tyler Hubbard were in Las Vegas last week, attending the Billboard Music Awards.  The duo was named Country Artist of the Year.  But that’s not all that happened in Vegas.  The two told Country Countdown USA’s Lon Helton:  “Saturday night, Tyler & I went to see Britney Spears at Planet Hollywood.  It was awesome.  The production was ridiculous.  It was crazy cool.  I think she was voted the best show in Vegas.  We got to meet her, she was very nice, and her dad is a rock star.  He hooked us up”

After the Billboard Music Awards, there were the inevitable after-parties.  Tyler said, “We met some cool people.  Nick Jonas is a great guy, met him.  We ran into David Lee Roth.  We sing about him in our song ‘Party People,’ so we went up to him and said, ‘We have a song about you,’ and he’s a great guy too.  We walked by Jesse McCartney, and found out he’s a fan of our music.  Taylor Swift had her own party.  Her and Ed Sheeran.  I think she won every award!  She’s a good friend of ours. Her new music video might be the coolest thing I’ve ever seen”

So how’s it feel to be named Country Artist of the Year? “That was a big night for Team FGL.  Feels good to be back, felt good to be there.”  Who’d you meet? “Right behind us, 50 Cent’s winkin’ at us.  Then we were backstage, and Jennifer Lopez is having her glam touched up.”
