Tyler Farr Imitates Jason Aldean
Tyler Farr has been on Jason Aldean’s Burn It Down Tour all year. A few months ago, Tyler told Country Countdown USA’s Lon Helton that he does an imitation of Jason Aldean:
“We were in a dressing room one night, and he puts my hat on, and I put his cowboy hat on, and I’m in the Aldean stance, I’m doing an imitation, and he’s doing my songs and I’m doing his songs. So that’s what we do. We don’t terrorize anything, we just make fun of each other, and that’s what friends do.”
Lon Helton played quote that for Jason, and he gave his side of that story: “That’s very accurate. Tyler is one of my favorite guys we’ve ever had on tour. He’s the tour comedian, and keeps the mood light out there. But that’s true, like at night, I’ll put on his baseball cap, and he puts on my cowboy hat, and he was singing ‘She’s Country,” he was acting like he was me, and I started to sound like Billy Bob Thornton from ‘Sling Blade’ and sang ‘Redneck Crazy.’ It’s just fun, when you’re on the road, you try to find different ways to entertain yourself, and that night, that’s what it was.”
So does he do a good imitation of you? “The thing with T-farr, he likes to do that with everybody, he’s got one with FGL too, he does ‘This Is How We Roll,’ he sits there and watches everybody’s every move, and then he impersonates them. And it’s pretty accurate, which is the scary thing.”
