Jake Owen Gets New Corvette

Jake Owen recently picked up some new wheels, and Country Countdown USA’s Lon Helton helped.  Jake’s new car is a 2014 Corvette, and Lon is part of the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green.  Lon joined Jake at the Museum in April, where Jake got a tour, and did a concert.  They talked about it this past weekend.

Jake told Lon, “It was a blast at the Corvette Museum, thanks for giving me the VIP treatment while we were up there.  I really enjoyed that, being a new Corvette owner, to go to the actual museum, see the history, learn so much about it, and being there with you.”

What did you think about the sink hole? “Yeah that blew my mind.  I still look at those photos I took on my phone.  I thought about keeping it the way it is, putting some plexi-glass over it, to where you can still look down on what happened, that was a neat experience.”

Everyone knew who you were there: “Didn’t it happen to be some anniversary?  There were a lot of people there.  It was a lot of fun.  I’m flattered everywhere I go that people want to say hi, or ask for an autograph, because there was a time when no one knew who I was.”
