Flatts’ Joe Don Expecting Baby

Rascal Flatts guitarist Joe Don Rooney is expecting his third child later this year.  He talked about it with Country Countdown USA’s Lon Helton: “Our third child, yes, we’re gonna have our own trio.  Late September.  We haven’t announced if it’s a boy or a girl.  I think it was Dolly Parton, who said, ‘It doesn’t matter what sex it is, as long as it remains the same sex its whole life.’ We’re stickin’ with that.”

Lon asked, have you checked your tour schedule?  Do you know where you’ll be? “It’s a possibility, it’s going to be tough.  We live in this lifestyle, this wild scheduling nightmare, being touring musicians, we’ll have to deal with it when it happens.  But I’ll definitely try to be here.  We’re in Florida the week before the due date.  The due date is 20th-ish.  My birthday is September 13th, and we’re in Florida.  My wife Tiffany is from West Palm Beach, Florida, and we’ll be down there for my birthday.  Then the next week, we’ll be closer to home.”
