Thompson Square Bounced Lady A

Back in 2008, Thompson Square’s Keifer & Shawna were working at a small club in Nashville.  Keifer recalls, “I was a 150 pound bouncer at a hip hop club.  I had some interesting nights.  I had to quit, or I wouldn’t be able to play guitar any more.” (Shawna) “Wasn’t there a night when Lady Antebellum came in, it was before we knew then, and Hillary was trying to get in.  You were messing with her, like there was a password, she needed a password to get in.” (Keifer) “Dave was with her, he’s such a sweet guy, and I was messing with them.  And there was no ego, they were like, ‘OK, we won’t come in then.’  They were real nice.”

Lon played that story for Lady A, and Dave said, “Oh no, it was probably Hollywood Disco!  Don’t tell my mom I ever went there.”  (Charles) “It’s not a strip club.  But the Disco name definitely takes it there.  This is back in their single days, Hillary & Dave were out on the prowl.  They’d go out together, she’d bring up girls for Dave.”  (Dave) “If it was us together, then I remember being there a couple times.”
