Jason, Luke, FGL Join Alabama
Some of country’s top stars joined Hall of Fame legends Alabama at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium a few weeks ago. The show was recorded for a GAC TV special running this week. Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, Florida Georgia Line, Eli Young Band, Trisha Yearwood, and Jamey Johnson appeared to perform classic hits from the band’s latest album, “Alabama & Friends.” Florida Georgia Line’s Brian Kelley said this about the experience: “That’s just crazy, we’re huge Alabama fans, to sing with those guys, hang out a little bit, they’re huge influences. You think of country music, you think of Alabama. Their music is still relevant today, and that’s something we’ll remember for a long time.”
Alabama lead singer Randy Owen said he was a little nervous performing at the Ryman. “It’s the Ryman Auditorium! That’s where my daddy used to listen to the Grand Ole Opry. That gets to ya. I had to think about a lot of things, go to a good place, if I think about it too much, I’ll forget the words. I hope and pray I get to do it again, we had a great time. We had a few guests, you think about what Jason’s done, Luke, knowing these kids, seeing them grow musically, when Trisha came on, it was like Elvis had arrived.”
You can see “Alabama & Friends” this week on Great American Country (GAC).
