Justin Moore’s Big Release Week

 

Justin Moore has set some high goals.  He told Country Countdown USA’s Lon Helton, “My goal is to compete with the big boys, Eric, Luke, and Jason.  It’s my job to continue to evolve and grow. I think this album gives us the opportunity to grow our fan base and take our career to a level where we haven’t been yet.”  Consequently, Justin and his team have put together a series of events for album release week that are designed to show how far he’s come as a country star.

Release week for Justin began Friday in Little Rock.  He performed a concert at Razorback Stadium before the football game between the University of Arkansas and Southern Miss.  “I’m a huge Razorback fan. If you grow up in Arkansas you kind of have to be. That’s our pro team, our college team, all of the above, and it’s even cooler because I’ve become friends with our new head coach, Coach Bret Bielema, and it’ll be cool to get to see him in action and in return he’ll get to see what I do, so anytime I can mix music and sports I’m all about it cause I’m such a huge sport nut, in particular the Hogs.”  On Saturday, Justin returned to the stadium to watch his beloved Razorbacks defeat the Golden Eagles by a score of 24-3, improving their record to 3-0.

With the hard part our of the way, Justin is ready for some fun.  He’s starting the week with radio personalities and media from around the country at Arkansas’ top trout fishing resort in the town of Lakeview. While at Gaston’s Lodge, the rising star will be fishing, shooting, cooking, spending time around a campfire…and even playing cornhole!   Justin says this is a great opportunity to get to spend some time with his radio friends and share his love of nature. “You know, we always try to do something a little quirky or a little different for album release, and so we’re gonna do it from the lake up there which will be right up my alley, and I love to hunt and fish. As long as it’s one of those two — killing or catching something — I’m in.”  While at the resort, Justin will also perform an outdoor concert that will premiere Thursday, September 19^th at 4PM ET on YouTube, at www.youtube.com/justinmoore. The performance, powered by NRA Country, will be complemented by daily vignettes rolling out beginning on Monday, September 16^th documenting all the activity at www.NRACountry.com.

Then Justin will head to New York City for a series of media appearances.  “It’s fun.  I really enjoy New York City for a couple nights.  I couldn’t live there.  I don’t know if it’s a good omen, but last time we launched an album there, our album debuted at #1, and it was a Gold Record for us.  We’re going there to play the Best Buy Theater.  The bad news is I can never buy a Coke big enough there because they changed the law!”
