Carrie is a Reluctant Prankster
Carrie Underwood spent the past year on the road with Hunter Hayes on her Blown Away Tour. It’s customary for practical jokes to fly during the final show. Carrie told Country Countdown USA’s Lon Helton what happened when the tour ended in May: “I’m not a huge prankster. I’m really not. We do our show, and I’m just not. But one of the last nights, I had a girl come into meet & greet, and she told me, ‘I just met Hunter Hayes, and I asked him if there was anything he wanted me to tell Carrie, and he told me to tell you that he’s got some good pranks lined up for you.’ And I though, ‘Aw crap, I have not even thought about pranks, so what do I do with this information?’ So we came up with the screaming sheep that they insert into the video. It’s just funny. They’ve done it to different people’s videos, like mine and Taylor Swift, so we decided to insert that into his song Light Me Up. So we do that to him, and he didn’t do anything to us. Now I feel really bad because the only reason I did it was because he said he was going to prank me. Maybe his fan was just joking.”
