Jake Owen Engaged!
When Jake Owen co-hosted the countdown a few weeks ago, he spoke several times about his girlfriend Lacey. He told Lon, “I don’t have plans on getting married any time soon. But if I do, I’m gonna marry that girl, cause she’s awesome.” Now he’s one step closer to walking down the aisle. Saturday night, he proposed to Lacey during his annual fundraiser concert in his hometown of Vero Beach Florida. A few hours later, he tweeted, “I’m a happy man. Life is complete.” Congratulations to the happy couple!
Jake’s girlfriend Lacey is actually from Florida, and still lives there. The two met during the filming of Jake’s “Eight Second Ride” video. As he told Lon a few weeks, ago, the two drifted apart after that, but reconnected for the “Barefoot Blue Jean Night” video. Jake told Lon, “I knew the only way to get her back to see me was to tell her I wanted her to be in my video, so she fell for my trap, my trap worked.”

Jake told Lon he recently got a tattoo of Lacey’s lips on his arm: “She has the most amazing lips, and I wanted to carry them around them with me everywhere I went. So I decided to place them in a discrete location.”

Reports indicate the proposal was spontaneous, because he didn’t have a ring. During his performance of “Don’t Think I Can’t Love You,” he called Lacey to the stage, fell to one knee, and asked her to marry him. And she said yes!
