Lon Helton Wins ACM Award

| February 15, 2012

We are thrilled and honored that the Academy of Country Music has named Country Countdown USA host Lon Helton as the 2012 National Broadcast Personality of the Year!  The award will be presented on April 1st in Las Vegas, which is ironically the show’s 20th anniversary!  Country Countdown made it’s debut the first week of April, 1992.  The show’s first co-host was Steve Wariner, who also had the #1 song of the week with “Tips of My Fingers.”  Since then, practically every charted country star has sat in the co-host seat, including Kenny Chesney, Keith Urban, Taylor Swift, Shania Twain, Carrie Underwood, Toby Keith, Brad Paisley, Lady Antebellum, Tim McGraw, and many more.  Thanks to all our incredible radio stations that carry the show, many of which have been with us for the entire 20 year run!  We’re not done yet!
