Brad & Carrie’s CMA Preview Pt 3

So here we are: CMA Day in Nashville.  All the writing sessions, the rehearsals, and the last minute changes are pretty much done.  Time for the show to begin.  So what goes through the minds of the co-hosts Brad Paisley & Carrie Underwood?  “It’s like wait, we’re not ready.” 

Country Countdown USA host Lon Helton asked, Do you ever feel ready? “No.  When we look back on it, we think we were ready.”  Carrie: “When we’re in it, we have a ton of meetings.” Brad: “We mainly figure out what we can’t say in those meetings.  It’s mostly you can’t do that, can’t say that, can’t do that, what can we do?  Let’s hope that’s a good show.” Carrie: We’ll totally think we’re doing a good job, and get our dreams squashed. I kinda wish I could be more free.” Brad: There were a few things that I know woulda worked that they wouldn’t let us do.”

Of course, once the show starts, it’s all live, so they probably could do whatever they want.  Except for one thing, according to Brad: “We want to be invited back.”

Brad Paisley & Carrie Underwood host the 45th annual CMA Awards, Wednesday night on ABC-TV.
