Scotty McCreery To Join Paisley
The final show of Brad Paisley’s H2O II Tour took place in Raleigh NC, home of American Idol winner Scotty McCreery. It provided a unique opportunity for the young singer to go behind the scenes of a major tour, meet the artists, and even break a little news. Country Countdown USA’s Lon Helton asked Scotty about being invited to join Brad on the road next year: “It’s cool for me to go our with someone like him, top dog in the business, it’s going to be an amazing experience for me, but I’ve got to sleep with one eye open with the pranks he pulls.”
As usual, the final show if the Paisley tour was filled with pranks, and Scotty was part of one of them: “The pranks were in full force for that show. Blake was singing ‘Honey Bee,” and a big guy came out wearing a bumble bee suit, and while he was singing, Blake was poking him with a stinger. Then me & Brad had remote control trucks and we wheeled them out there and soaked him with water. The trucks could shoot water. A few times I missed Blake and hit the crowd, and had to say, ‘I’m sorry, I missed him!”
