Justin Moore Names his Baby

Justin Moore was in Nashville today, celebrating his second #1: If Heaven Wasn’t So Far Away.  Before the party, he spoke with the media, and told them he & his wife have picked out a name for their new baby girl: Kennedy Faye Moore.  Justin said, “My grandma, who passed away a few years ago, her name was Fayenette.  I don’t know where Kennedy came from.  My wife picked it.”  Kennedy’s new baby will join older sister Ella.  Justin said he’s learned a lot from his first child: “I’ve learned they’re not going to break.  They’ll hit their head or get hurt, and it’s OK.  You’re more comfortable with the whole process.  I remember the first diaper, it’s like pine tar on a baseball bat.  It’s pretty rank.  But it’s the coolest experience I’ve ever had.”

Justin just wrapped up the Nothing Like This tour with Rascal Flatts.  He says they gave him a cool gift at the end of the tour: “They got me the coolest end-of-tour present, a 50 caliber pistol, pretty sweet.”  He’ll get a lot of use for it as he hits the road with the “Gunpowder & Lead” lady Miranda Lambert.  He has 15 shows with her between now and the end of October.
