Lady A’s Hillary Scott’s “Perfect” Day

Lady Antebellum’s Hillary Scott is now engaged to Chris Tyrrell.  In an interview with Chountry Countdwn USA’s Lon Helton, Hillary said Chris popped the question in a private moment during July 4th weekend. “Chris & I got engaged on July the 2nd, and it was beautiful.  His family had flown down from upstate New York to vacation here in Nashville, so this was the first time his parents met my parents, and we had a big dinner, and it went wonderful, everyone got along great, and it was perfect!  We ended up driving a few miles outside of Nashville, we got a cabin with our families, and we went on a hike that Saturday morning, so I was literally in yoga pants and a tank top, pony tail, no make-up, and when we got back from the hike, he asked me to come on the deck, and that’s where he proposed.”

Hillary told Lon she’s actually known Chris a long time: “We met in college, we’ve known each other since we were freshmen in college.  But we were just acquaintences.  We met through mutual friends, and we kept up with each other over the years, but re-connected during the Tim McGraw tour last year.  He’s a drummer, and was out with Love & Theft last year, filled in for our drummer for a few shows, and was with Luke Bryan during the first six months of this year, and is now out with the new trio Eden’s Edge.”
