Dierks Dishes on Blake’s Wedding

When Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert got married in May, they invited a bunch of country stars, including this week’s Countdown co-host, Dierks Bentley.  He told Lon Helton it wasn’t easy, but he was able to get the day off:  “I haven’t been to any weddings since my own 6 years ago!  People always ask if I can go to their wedding, and I tell them, ‘As long as your wedding isn’t on a Thursday, Friday Saturday, or Sunday, I may be able to make it work!’ Our drummer got married on a Tuesday.  He had to…it was the only day we had off!  But Blake & Miranda are good friends of ours, so we blocked the date off a long time ago, and it was great.  The location was great, an old ranch in Texas.  The whole thing you get married under was made up of deer antlers.  It was classy and country.  The aftershow was Neal McCoy, and he was one of the greatest entertainers of all time, he was the ultimate wedding band, there were no cameras, everyone was cuttin’ loose, Reba was making great jokes on stage, great night, one of the best weddings I’ve ever been to.”
