Taylor to Idols: How About Lunch?

Scotty McCreery just won the American Idol competition, and his debut single is in this week’s Top 30.  Country Countdown USA co-host Taylor Swift had this to say about the latest teenager in country music: “I haven’t gotten to meet Scotty or Lauren yet, but they seem so sweet.  I love that.  It’s cool because country music is one big family, and it would be so great to spend time with them and hang out.  It’s awesome that they decided that country was their thing.  Any time they want to get lunch or coffee and talk and hang out, I would be totally down with that.  Because they seem like great people.”

Taylor has also become friends with another teen superstar: Justin Bieber: “Yeah, we’re good friends.  He’s an incredbly great person.  It’s amazing he’s been able to stay who he is, and keep his priorities in line, his family, his friends, the people he loves, and the people he trusts.  I’ve gotten to know a lot of people who do this.  It’s like there’s an immediate camaraderie, and I try to make as many friends as possible, because I go to a lot of awards shows, and you want to feel like you’re going to a reunion with your friends.”
