A Day With Shania & Taylor

The photo was leaked earlier in the week.  Shania Twain and Taylor Swift racing through Tennessee in a Thunderbird convertable, reminiscent of the movie “Thelma & Louise.”  They even had a cameo with “Glee'” star Chord Overstreet, playing the role made famous by Brad Pitt.  Shania’s comment? “You think you’re Brad Pitt? That don’t impress me much.” 

Later that week, Shania told Country Countdown USA host Lon Helton that although they spent the better part of a day shooting the brief video, the two really didn’t have time to get to know each other. “We didn’t get a lot of time to chat, not as much as I would have liked to, I know she’s told me she wishes she could give me a call, and I’m going to open that door to her.”   Taylor has made no secret that she admires Shania, and said so when accepting the ACM Entertainer of the Year Award in April.

Shania met Taylor for the first time several years ago, and told Lon she was different then: “When she was just a teenager, she was quite giddy and cheerful and chirpy and was sweet and cute.  Now most recently, she was much more mature, more subdued, and seemed more open to having girl chat.  So I’ve seen that change in her.”  We’ll get the view from Taylor next week when she co-hosts the Countdown.
