Stars React to Blake & Miranda Wedding

Country stars have been reacting, mostly via Twitter, to Saturday’s wedding of Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert.  Martina McBride and her husband John were guests, and Sunday afternoon, she offered these words: “Last night I witnessed the union of two of the best people on the planet. Such a beautiful wedding and fantastic party. Honored to be there. Reminded me of 23 years ago today when I married my best friend. Best part..he’s still my best friend.”  Josh Kelley wrote, “Just leaving Miranda and Blake’s wedding. It was unreal awesome sauce!!! Crazy crazy fun. Cognates to such a radd couple!!!!!”  Another wedding guest, Chris Young, obviously partied too hard: “I absolutely butchered some karaoke last night. Oops.”  American Idol winner Kelly Clarkson posted this on Facebook: “So I went to Miranda and Blake Shelton’s wedding last night and it was the greatest wedding/reception I’ve ever been to! I feel as though they should renew their vows every year and throw a party as well because everything about it was awesome! Cutest couple ever!”  This from Miranda’s “Heart Like Mine” co-writer Ashley Monroe: “Yay!!! Wedding AND #1 song in the USA with my bestest friend!!!! So so blessed IT’S SILLY!!!!!”

More details are starting to emerge from guests at the wedding.  For one thing, the guests didn’t know where the wedding was taking place.  They were bussed to the ranch from a hotel.  Second, there were no cameras or cell phones allowed.  During the ceremony, there were helicopters circling the ranch, and some of those pictures have emerged.  But so far, no pictures of the couple themselves.
