Sara Evans’ Career Highlight

Sara Evans performed her current hit, A Little Bit Stronger,” on the Academy of Country Music Awards.  The next night, she did the Tammy Wynette classic “Stand By Your Man” on the ACM’s Girls Night Out TV special.  Sara told Country Countdown USA’s Lon Helton: “I felt so lucky to be given “Stand By Your Man,” because you’ve got that big old note that you’ve got to hit, it’s always a crowd-pleaser.  But I will say that when I listen to it on television, I am more pleased of that performance of any other performance I’ve done on TV. Because sometimes you can sing it great but it doesn’t come through on TV.  But it was awesome, and I was like ‘Oh my gosh it sounds so good!’ Normally I’m afraid to listen to myself.  Normally I’m so critical of myself.  But that was probably one of the highlights of my whole entire career. “
