Kenny Buys Billy New Shoes
Kenny Chesney loves to play basketball with his crew when they’re on the road. Recently, his tour-mate Billy Currington wanted to join the game. But Billy prefers not to wear shoes. Kenny didn’t want his buddy to injure himself on the asphalt court. Kenny told CCUSA’s Lon Helton, “I bought him a pair of basketball shoes, and wrote on them, ‘Billy, here’s your first pair of basketball shoes. Be sure to wear them.’ And he did, and he came on stage later that day wearing those basketball shoes.”
